Klaatu barada nikto!
I won't resort to threats, I merely tell you that the future of your planet is at stake.
So first the good news: The International Reading Association has put the first Clemency Pogue on their CHILDREN'S CHOICES 2006 list. Best of all, it's a list selected by actual kids. Many, many thanks to all the actual kids out there.

I recently read Lewis Trondheim's A.L.I.E.E.E.N. It's a brilliant piece of work that Mr. Trondheim found in an asteroid crater while hiking in the Catskills. It's the first extraterrestrial comic book published on Earth! You'll sleep better at night knowing that they like poop jokes on other planets, too. (Perhaps this is how we will communicate when we finally make contact. I offer myself as ambassador.) FirstSecond books is publishing it, and you can read ten complimentary pages over at their webpage.
Stay tuned. Many exciting posts arriving in the next few days.
