Daniel Chavez Moran Is Dedicated to Improving Latin America

As a businessman and philanthropist, Daniel Chavez Moran has worked hard for well over 30 years to makes his Home country of Mexico and the Latin American region an area of economic promise and cultural hope. Moran has used his experiences as a developer of premier luxury resorts to create foundations for the purpose of improving education, implementing policies that help address social and economic inequality and improving relations between the varied Latin American peoples. Moran’s philanthropic efforts have won him recognition from government leaders and the general population alike.

The Grupo Vidanta Foundation was formed by Moran and a group of associates in the first decade of the 21st century to help Latin American countries and peoples realize the goals Moran espouses. The son of a civil engineer and a school teacher, Moran learned the importance of education and what it can mean to a student while a child in his Home in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. He has furthered his mother’s love of education through a separate foundation formed in 2002, the Fundacion Delia Moran A.C., dedicated to providing help to primary-school aged children who must fight to survive each day as well as receive an education.

Moran’s business acumen has led him to work to help develop policies that will allow Latin American governments, businesses and peoples to develop economically as other countries have done. The Grupo Vidanta Foundation strives to put the spotlight on the factors that keep countries from its Home country of Mexico to the tip of South America and the Caribbean countries considered part of Latin America. Working with governments in the various countries, the foundation works to close the gap of social and economic inequality between the richest and poorest citizens of the countries, and between the countries themselves.

The Grupo Vidanta Foundation, under the guidance of Moran and its current president, Roberto Russell, brings together leaders in government, business, education and culture to discuss options that will accomplish the foundation’s goals. The foundation does this by hosting international seminars and conferences, publishing works in applicable journals and awarding prizes to projects or individuals that support its educational, economic and social objectives for Latin America. Daniel Chavez Moran and his colleagues are working hard to bring success to their Latin American Home.
